What are the rules in the way you dress?

Never try to be sexy, you either have it or you don’t. Always go for the unconventional; wear a fur over a T-shirt and switch your heels with creepers.

Please describe your style in three words.

European, minimalistic, unexpected.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Trying too hard. When you’re getting dressed you just feel it and go with the mood of the day without recreating someone’s vibe or style but just being yourself and surprising yourself every time.

Do you believe in role models?

I definitely do. I had a few in the different stages of my life and they helped me to improve myself and to learn a lot about how I am and what I want to do in my life.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Cashmere, it makes me feel at home and cozy. Denim, I can never get enough of it. Leather, every time I wear a leather jacket it’s like I can overcome any obstacle; it makes me feel strong and confident.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

I really don’t think a bondage dress with stiletto heels have much to do with fashion.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

BOLD.

Celebrities and style...

Don’t always go well together.

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Clutches. It’s an endless love.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

I have a very special fur coat by American Retro I bought in Italy that I’m really attached to; I’ll carry it with me forever. It’s a black lamb fur with little silver studs around the neckline and the sleeves. I wore it in some many different cities in the last five years, I feel like it just belongs everywhere by now, and even though it’s not brand new I still can’t stop wearing it.

Who taught you what you know about style?

My mom and my aunt plus one or two fashion magazines I’ve been reading since high school.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

It really depends on what I’m doing or where I’m working that day. When I have no inspiration I lay down on the bed all my favourite stuff, I see what works with what and then I start matching things in a different way than I usually do. Or I also like to use photography books and magazines to get inspired; I’d flip through them, see what catches me and I’d keep that vibe in mind when I style my outfit for the day.

What is your biggest regret?

That I didn’t study acting when I was little.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

Not really, I barely shop in stores now. I do a lot of online shopping instead. One thing I love to do though is to buy ‘L’Officiel accessories’ and score all my favourite pieces for next season right after the shows. It’s so thrilling to spot my favourite accessories, it’s like being in a virtual candy store.

We will never see you wearing...

Fishnets, I really don’t like them, unless Prada does them.

The most stylish person you have ever seen...

Karl Lagerfeld. He’s got the elegance of an ermine.

The one image that defined your approach to style...

An old picture of Kate Moss wearing only panties and a slouchy T-shirt. She was so perfect without even posing, so effortless and chic. That’s what I had in mind for a while after seeing that picture: style is something that’s meant for others, it’s like you’re the art piece and other people are just there to be amused by it.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

I really like Sophia Webster; her shoes are so whimsical and colourful and they make even the simplest outfit look special. I also like Reece Hudson because her brand is so iconic and different than anything else out there. I feel like the bondage clutches she designed will create a mark in the history of fashion.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Not when you’re up to eating ice cream on your coach, watching a movie.

Which fashion house never fails to impress you?

Miu Miu. Every time I get to see the new collection it just gets better and better and the whole new idea of creating a short film every season is brilliant.

Who would you like to recommend for My Style?

Jared Leto. I have a not-so-secret admiration for him and his work as an artist. I think what he does, his music, and his acting performances are just so inspirational and unique... he is a very special human being and I believe he’ll have a lot of cool things to say about fashion as well.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

‘When you really want something, act as if you had it already and it’ll come eventually’.
