What are the rules in the way you dress?

I have no rules! I love mixing couture with vintage pieces, something very dressy and special with something used and ripped.

Please describe your style in three words.

Je ne se quoi, boho glam?

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Not feeling comfortable with what you are wearing.

Do you believe in role models?

No, I believe in being true to your personal style.

What are your favourite fabrics?

I would say cashmere.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

When styled correctly everything is possible.

Which city has the best-dressed women?

Paris, I love how they can wear things like a Chanel couture blazer with black skinny jeans.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Definitely bold! ;)

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Shoes, without doubt!

A woman should always look like…

She didn't think too much when she was getting ready!

Who taught you what you know about style?

I grew up in a family where my aunt was a model, my grandmother was a couturier and my mum was a shopaholic, so it all started when I was very young!

How do you select your clothing every morning?

Believe it or not, I never prepare what I’m going to be wearing, not even during fashion week. It’s something that depends on my daily mood.

What is your biggest regret?

I don't think I have any!

The three essential things a woman should know about style are…

Don't look too much at other people’s style. Accessories are key. Your style should always feel effortless.

We will never see you wearing...

Ballerina shoes.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

My husband Louis Leeman now that he has launched his women’s shoes line! He’s been in the business for only a few years and never stops surprising me by dressing some of my favourite artists such as The Rolling Stones. He’s also been designing footwear for brands that I love, such as Roberto Cavalli and Mary Katrantzou, who in addition to being a dear friend, she is also one of the most talented designers out there. I admire and love her!

Who is the most stylish person you have ever seen?

Anna Dello Russo has always been a style icon for me and it was a dream that came true when I started working by her side for Vogue Nippon. I love how she mixes different styles and she’s not afraid to wear whatever she likes.

What is the first thing you notice on a woman?

Her shoes!

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

Shoes, shoes, and shoes! I’ve always had a passion for heels! Shoes are like art pieces for me and I’ve collected them since I can remember. I believe I have around two thousand pairs now!

Which designer never fails to impress you?

My friend Peter Dundas, I’m in love with every piece he designs! The embroideries and his shapes during his tenure at Pucci and Roberto Cavalli made me want all of his collections. He also designed my wedding dress, and all the clothes for my bridesmaids and my wedding weekend in Capri!

One article of clothing that a woman needs to pay close attention to is…

Definitely her lingerie.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Not necessarily! For example, I love Superga shoes!
